Hi! We are Michael & Kate. We started this blog to document our journey through life and business and our love of whisky.

Those of you around the world may find our accents odd (yes, we are Aussies) but we hope you will smile and be inspired hearing us talking about the finer things in life.  

We are a couple living in Brisbane, Australia!  G’day! We met at a dinner, later sharing a few gym dates, coffee and a glass or two of scotch.  It was our ambition and finally finding that one person to do life with that brought us together.  We both may have the most traditional of jobs (come on.. a dentist and an accountant. YAWN) but we are far from the norm. 

Fun fact: Michael has never considered himself short at 6” but standing next to a 6”2 Kate with legs that never end, people often make that assumption.  Please join us on our journey, we are sure there will be some laughs along the way.  Being the clowns that we are, how can there not be.

Kate is a Dentist and proud of it.  She loves working with families as nothing makes her happier than meeting kids and seeing them grow.  She loved it so much she owns a dental practice. Kate also has a competitive streak and has a large thirst for knowledge always developing her craft.  This led to completing post graduate studies in implants and oral surgery. 

Michael is an Accountant. His story is a little different. He didn’t start out loving accounting, but more enjoyed learning about business and how he could help them operate more efficiently and profitably.  It is by chance early in his career he gained experience with turning businesses around so he became an expert at what he does.  He now operates his own Accounting Practice innovating how businesses take care of their accounting and taxes.
